Blanche E. Russell Ferguson

Blanche E. Russell Ferguson, 88, of Zelienople died Monday morning at UPMC Passavant Hospital, McCandless Township.

She was born April 1, 1919, in Greenville, S.C. She was the daughter of the Rev. James P. and Annie Goldsmith Russell Sr.

Mrs. Ferguson was a member of the First Baptist Church, Leetsdale, where she was active as a nurse for the church, a member of the Mother's Board, and a missionary of the church.

She is survived by two daughters, Betty J. Dean and Charlene Witted, both of Zelienople; a sister, Mrs. Ruth Franklin of Baltimore; 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Ferguson on May 4, 2005; three brothers, and a sister.

<B>Ferguson</B> — Friends of Blanche E. Russell Ferguson, who died Monday Sept. 17, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the <B>A.Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home</B>, 114 W. Spring St., Zelienople. Funeral services will be at noon Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Frederick White, her pastor, officiating.
