Muriel L. Thompson, 92, of Concordia Haven, Cabot, formerly of Aspen Road, died at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia.

Born Jan. 31, 1915, in McKeesport, she was the daughter of Harry J. Taylor and Maude Hurst.

Mrs. Thompson had been a teacher for Port Vue, Allegheny County.

She was a member of Covenant United Presbyterian Church, where she taught Sunday school and served as an elder and deacon. She also was a member of the Presbytery women's organization.

Surviving are two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Harry (Jean) Taylor of North Huntingdon and Mrs. Howard (Elizabeth) Javens of Hermitage; five nieces, Jill Sye, Lynn Stump, Ruth Greenawalt, Beverly Thompson and Esta Mae Stafford; four nephews, Kenneth Shotwell, James and Jack Taylor and Dennis Javens; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Her husband, Charles H. Thompson, whom she married June 15, 1940, died July 1, 2000. She also was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

<B>THOMPSON</B> — Friends of Muriel L. Thompson, who died Tuesday, Sept. 11, 2007, will be received from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St. Services will follow at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Entombment will be at the Chapel of Devotion, Butler County Memorial Park, Butler Township.A memorial service will be held at Concordia Haven II at the convenience of the family.Information and a private guest book are available at www.thompson-miller.com.
