Evelyn Thompson
Evelyn Marie Heginbotham Thompson, 92, died Monday at Chesterwood Village, West Chester, Ohio.
Born April, 18, 1915, in Saxonburg, she was the daughter of Gilbert and Emma Margaret Baer Heginbotham.
She graduated from Butler High School in 1934.
On Aug. 19, 1936, she married Richard Alva Thompson at Saxonburg Memorial Church. Due to his occupation, they moved to several areas of the country and settled down in Marietta, Ga., in the early 1970s.
Mrs. Thompson was an artist and loved all art. She sang in a church choir in New York, N.Y., for 15 years. She loved playing cards and was an active member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Marietta, Ga.
She was preceded in death by her husband; their two children, Susan Thompson and Carol Thompson Childs; her sisters, Margaret Thompson and Virginia Dickey; and two brothers, Regis and Ronald Heginbotham.
She is survived by a sister, Pauline Everson (Clyde) of Monroe, Ohio; and nieces and nephews, Keith Thompson (Pat), Sharon Noullet (Dave), Larry Dickey, Richard Everson (Marci) and Robert Everson (Peg). She also was a great-aunt and a great-great-aunt to many.
