Linda Ferrandiz

Linda Arduini Ferrandiz, 91, died Sunday at Grove Manor in Grove City.

Born Nov. 17, 1915, in McIntyre, Indiana County, she was the daughter of Pietro "Pete" and Teresa Pietropolli Arduini.

She married and raised her family in Brooklyn, N.Y., and retired with her husband to Florida. Several years after his death, she moved to Slippery Rock to be near one of her daughters.

She was a Roman Catholic. She enjoyed reading, taking care of her apartment and talking with her friends. She was an avid animal lover and an exceptional cook, especially of Italian and Cuban foods.

She is survived by two daughters, Johanna "Chubby" Buser of Queens, N.Y., and Susan Ferrandiz of Portersville; two grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, Fred "Tex" Arduini of California.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Ferrandiz, who died Sept. 22, 1997; three sisters, including her twin; and three brothers, including a set of twins.

<B>FERRANDIZ</B> — Friends of Linda Arduini Ferrandiz, who died Sunday, Sept. 9, 2007, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the <B>Robinson-Lytle </B>funeral home, 36 N. Seventh St., Indiana, Pa. Visitation also will be from 10 a.m. until the blessing service at noon Wednesday with the Rev. William Kiel as celebrant.
