Miles G. Morris Jr., 82, of Evans City died early today at his home.

Born Sept. 7, 1925, in Natrona Heights, he was the son of Miles G. and Roxie Bair Morris.

He was a member and elder of the Old Union Presbyterian Church and was active with the Willing Workers.

Mr. Morris was a World War II veteran of the 3701st Army Air Force Base Unit.

He had retired from Koppers in Pittsburgh as a chemical engineer after 35 years.

A 1943 graduate of Hair Brack High School, he received a bachelor of science degree from Grove City College and graduated from University of Pittsburgh with a master of science degree. He held a Pennsylvania License of Engineering.

He was a member of Pollock Masonic Lodge 502 of Tarentum, the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite of Valley of Pittsburgh and the PARC and the ARC. He was a former member of the NRA.

Surviving are his wife, Dorothy A. Andrews Morris, whom he married Aug. 7, 1948; a daughter, Louise and Patrick Leonard of Butler; two sons, Miles C. Morris III at home and Neil A. and Bonnie Morris of Prospect; five grandchildren, Carrie and Neil Morris Jr., Kell and Rory Rieger and Kasey Leonard; and two great-grandchildren. Kyle Major and Kiera Sporny.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, Fred, Kenneth and John Morris.

Peter DeVries, his church pastor, officiating.
