Jerome R. Meyer

Jerome R. Meyer, 95, of Concordia Lutheran Health Care, Cabot, formerly of Etna and Glenshaw, died Saturday.

He was born Sept. 21, 1911, in Allison Park.

Mr. Meyer was a member of All Saints Church in Etna.

He was retired from Glenshaw Glass Co.

During World War II, he served with the Army 35th Infantry in Northern France, Ardennes, Belgium, Rhineland, Germany and Central Europe. He received the Good Conduct Medal, European African Middle Eastern Service Medal and four Bronze Stars.

He was the husband of the late Rose Reiland Meyer and Barbara Gall Meyer; and son of the late Joseph W. and Cecilia Eichenlaub Meyer.

He was the father of Rose Marie Tomko and her husband, John, and Carol Ann Nagg and her husband, John; the stepfather of Wayne Gall; grandfather of Jennifer (Brian) Lokai, Maureen (Paul) McDonald, John J. (Lisa) and Christopher (Susan) Nagg, Allen (Cindy) Gall and Cindy (David) Erra; and great-grandfather of Abigail and Julia Lokai, Jacob, Francis and Cecilia McDonald, Lauren and Olivia Nagg and Kaitlin and Justin Erra. He also is survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of Norman Meyer and the late Marcella Hardt, Annette Beyerl, Florence Fath, Frank, Joseph and Maurice Meyer, Stella Flur, Bertha Creeks, Matilda Soeder, Elizabeth Stoerker and Geraldine Golla.

<B>MEYER </B>— Friends of Jerome R. Meyer, who died Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Tuesday at <B>NEELY FUNERAL HOME</B>, 2208 Mt. Royal Blvd., Glenshaw. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday in All Saints Church, 19 Wilson St., Etna.Memorials may be made to the church.
