Virginia Lee Glaus
Virginia Lee Glaus, 85, formerly of New Castle Street, Butler, died Thursday at St. John's Specialty Care Center in Mars.
Born Nov. 10, 1921, in Elkins, W.Va., she was the daughter of Samuel Joseph and Mary Florence McConkey Livingston.
She was a member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church. She had worked as a secretary to the manager of the Butler Shirt Company, had been a secretary at WISR and had operated a beauty shop in her home for many years.
Surviving are her son, Ronald L. Glaus of Virginia Beach, Va.; two granddaughters, Mrs. Tracy (Melanie) Allen and Bethanie Glaus, both of Virginia Beach, Va.; two great-granddaughters; two sisters, Wilma Hays of Evans City and Mrs. Homer (Carol) Ikenberg of Connoquenessing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Alvin Glaus, who died Feb. 20, 2001, and whom she married Feb. 12, 1951; and a sister.
<B>GLASS</B> — Friends of Virginia Lee Glaus, who died Thursday, Sept. 6, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at <B>Young Funeral Home</B>.Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Robert Zimmerman, MDIV, officiating. Entombment will be in the Butler County Memorial Park Mausoleum.
