Prokopchak 60th anniversary
William "Bill" and Helen Prokopchak of Lyndora will celebrate 60 years of marriage this month with a family dinner at the Garden Gate restaurant in Prospect.
Prokopchak married for former Helen Skunda on Oct. 4, 1947, at St. John's Roman Catholic Church in Lyndora.
They have two children, David Prokopchak of Butler and Bill Prokopchak of Winchester, Va.
The also have six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.Prokopchak is a retired life insurance salesman for the Baltimore Life Insurance Co. He was owner of Bill's Barber Shop in Lyndora from 1948 to 1965. He is a veteran of World War II and a founding member of the Lyndora American Legion Post 778.Mrs. Prokopchak is a housewife. She was a member of the former St. John's Roman Catholic Church in Lyndora.The Prokopchaks belong to St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church in Lyndora.
