Lack of Grammar
My nephew is 10 years old and has a disability. He is able to spell some words and can get his basic ideas across in his writing but his sentences are not always complete or formulated correctly. He will never have that skill though he will be able to get on a site like this and share his opinion with others. Unfortunately for him, there will be those people out there that don't understand that not everybody has the same skills in regards to the English language and he will be chastised for his spelling and grammar errors. On the other hand, his teachers are working with him to make sure that he is a productive member of our society. No, he will never be able to be a mayor or president of a company but he will be able to hold a job and, if he chooses, be a good husband, father, etc. Just because people have a little trouble with their writing skills does NOT mean that their teachers didn't do their job. I think it would be great if people would get to the issues at hand here and quit passing judgment on others for something they might know nothing about! Wouldn't it be a much better world if parents had taught their children a little empathy and respect for others? I would rather see that than some ignorant person that can write eloquently. Practicing good grammar and being a good person do not go hand in hand, as we can see so obviously here.
