Rice letter
I find it so amusing that Teresa Rice, in her letter to the editor "Revive old guard thinking", blames all of our society's problems on the influence of the 1960s baby boomer generation. Yes, it's hoorible that parents would leave a baby at home alone while they go out drinking or that a father would take his 4 year old son with him to a prostitutes residence, having the child wait as the father cavorts with the hooker in the back room. Well, Ms. Rice, these things happened in the 1950s and they happened to me. Long before the 1960s, there was homosexuality, drug abuse, mental illness, child abuse, spousal abuse, rape etc. The big difference was that you weren't allowed to talk about back in the "good old days".
