Perle Tallo Bliley
Perle L. Tallo Bliley, 75, of Portersville died Monday morning at the Passavant Retirement Community, Zelienople.
Born in New York, N.Y., June 1, 1932, she was the daughter of Paul and Pearl Weber Tallo.
Mrs. Bliley was a 1950 graduate of Wesleyville High School, where she held the title of champ foul shot shooter for the girls basketball team and was a cheerleader. She was elected co-ed colonel at the 1953 Gannon College Military Ball.
She had been a secretary at Erie General Electric. She was a talented oil painter and enjoyed sewing and crafts.
A devoted wife and mother, she joined her husband in his many career moves. They started their life together in Erie and they moved to Mt. Holly, N.J., Bremhaven, Germany, back to Erie, Euclid, Ohio, Mountside, N.J., Hauppauge, N.Y., Kansas City, Kan., Upper St. Clair, Pa., Lebanon, Pa., State College, Pa., and finally to Portersville.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Roy Bliley II; a son, Roy Bliley III and his wife, Angelia, of Hindsdale, Ill.; two daughters, Rebecca Lucas of Bellefonte and Kathleen Selvaggio and her husband, Michael, of Portersville; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
<B>BLILEY </B>— Friends of Perle L. Tallo Bliley, who died Monday, Sept. 3, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>G.R. Bailey Funeral Home</B>, 4396 Iroquois Ave., Lawrence Park. A prayer service will be held at 9:25 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. James Roman Catholic Church. Burial will be at the Wintergreen Gorge Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Western Pennsylvania, 110 W. 10th St., Erie, PA 16501.
