Catherine Miller

Catherine Miller, 85, of Lyndora died early Monday at the home of her son.

Born Nov. 13, 1921, in Butler, she was a daughter of John and Mary Johns Isaac.

Mrs. Miller retired from the maintenance department at Applied Sciences Association. She formerly worked at the Spaide Shirt Factory and the Bantam Car Co.

She was an avid gardener and had managed her family's store, the John Isaac's Store and Greenhouse in Lyndora.

She was a member of St. Anthony Antiochian Orthodox Church in Lyndora.

Surviving are two sons, Christian A. Miller Jr., of Meridian and David J. Miller and his wife, Kathy Miller, of Lyndora; four grandchildren, Donald, Ronald, Drew and Angela Miller; two great-grandchildren, Tristen Miller and Abagayle Kastelic; and several nieces and nephews.

Her husband, Christian A. Miller Sr., whom she married Nov. 8, 1944, died April 4, 1972. She also was preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Ann L. Miller, who died Aug. 13, 2007; her sisters, Sarah Gibson, Elizabeth Bajcz, Sophia Mechanic and Helen Bajcz; and a brother, Michael Isaac.

<B>MILLER </B>— There will be no visitation. Cremation services were provided by the Geibel Funeral Home. A private graveside service for Catherine Miller, who died Monday, Sept. 3, 2007, will be held at Butler County Memorial Park, Butler Township, at the convenience of the family.Information also is available at www.geibelfuneralhome.com.
