Thursday — Police charged Michael Reinhart, 32, of Munhall, Allegheny County, with driving under the influence following a hit-and-run crash last month in the cityReinhart is accused of hitting a parked truck on Third Avenue about 7:20 p.m. Sept, 9, and driving off. Police said the defendant earlier that day was involved in a fight at a Pillow Street bar.Police said Reinhart also is charged with accidents involving damage to an unattended vehicle, disorderly conduct, harassment and public drunkenness.12:05 p.m. Tuesday — One person was injured when atractor-trailer struck a parked car at South Main and East Wayne streets.Police said the rig, driven by Jeffrey Slater, 47, of Valencia, was turning when it struck the car owned by Robert Miller of Butler. Miller's wife, Cindy Miller, 38, was in the car and suffered minor injuries.
5:15 p.m. Thursday — Atruck driven by Glen Mackey, 57, of Toledo, Ohio, struck the rear of a car at Route 422 and Currie Road in Muddy Creek Township.Jeffrey Mansfield, 28, of Slippery Rock, who was driving the car, was treated for a back injury at Butler Memorial Hospital. Police said Mackey was cited for following too closely to another vehicle.12:33 p.m. Thursday — Apickup truck driven by Darius Greer, 22, of Butler struck a tree along McGregor Road near Hall Road in Clay Township. Greer told police the crash occurred when he swerved his truck to avoid a deer on the road.Police said Greer was cited for careless driving and not wearing a seat belt.7:25 a.m. Wednesday — Avehicle driven by a 16-year-old Butler area girl, who police did not identify, struck a utility pole on Sunset Drive in Center Township.Tuesday — An unknown thief between 9 a.m. Sept. 19 and 12:30 p.m. Tuesday siphoned about 10 gallons of gas from a car at Chicora Commons on KittanningStreet in Chicora.
12:30 p.m. Thursday — An unknown driver of an unidentified vehicle struck a car on Route 208 in Scrubgrass Township, Venango County, and did not stop. Police said Paula Adams, 18, of Grove City was driving the car that was struck.State Police, Kittanning2:45 a.m. Monday — Marty Roy Wolfe, 47, of East Brady was arrested for driving under the influence after his sport utility vehicle crashed into a guardrail on Route 68 near Queenstown Road in Bradys Bend Township, Armstrong County.
10:45 p.m. Saturday — Dwayne Michael Burgess, 19, of Spencer, W.Va., was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence following a routine traffic stop on Route 19 near North Gate Plaza in Jackson Township. Burgess also faces charges of underage drinking, puchase/consumption/possession/transportation of alcohol and disregarding a traffic lane.9:03 p.m. Sept. 27 — Joseph P. Ganster, 48, of Harmony was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence following a routine traffic stop on Route 19 in Jackson Township. He also faces minor vehicle violation charges.
