8:25 p.m. Sunday — Police charged Amy Sue Green, 38, with simple assault following a reported domestic dispute with roommate Toni Sexton, 50, at their East Penn Street home.11 p.m. Saturday — Eric Steighner, 22, allegedly assaulted his girlfriend, Catherine Karenbauer, 25, during a domestic altercation at the couple's Wick Street home. Steighner is charged with simple assault.Saturday — Michael Damiano, 19, of Butler is accused of a pair of reported assaults about five hours apart at his West Quarry Street apartment.Police arrested Damiano about 2:20 a.m. Saturday after he allegedly assaulted Amanda Brommer, 29, no address given. When police tried to take the defendant into custody, he ran but was immediately caught.Apolice report said when Damiano remained unruly, officers were forced to use chemical spray on him. He is charged with simple assault, resisting arrest, underage drinking and public drunkenness.Meanwhile, Damiano is also charged with simple assault in connection with the beating of Terry Berry Jr., 32, of New Castle, that occurred about 9 p.m. Friday.12:51 a.m. Saturday — Robert M. Bennett, 23, of Saxonburg was arrested for driving under the influence on Center Avenue. Police also cited Bennett for driving on the wrong side of the road and a lighting violation.

Friday — Three people were arrested for driving under the influence during a DUI checkpoint on Hansen Avenue in Butler.Officers stopped 321 vehicles during the detail and, in addition to the DUI arrests, issued three citations for underage drinking and 13 citations for various traffic violations. Additionally, officers arrested a suspect wanted on a warrant.

6:57 p.m. Sunday — A sport utility vehicle driven by Alexander Wusylko,16, of Cranberry Township and a car driven by Maureen Marsteller, 53, of Bethel Park, Allegheny County, crashed on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township.1:33 p.m. Sunday — Police recovered a 2001 Ford Taurus sedan reported stolen Sunday in Buffalo, N.Y. The car was found at Cal's Market on Route 19 in Portersville. No other information about the investigation was available this morning.2:45 a.m. Sunday — Brian Stewart, 24, of Bruin was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his pickup truck struck a guardrail on Route 268 near East Eldorado Road in Parker Township.12:22 a.m. Saturday — Kara Anne Kendziorski, 30, of Slippery Rock was arrested for suspicion of DUI at Route 58 and Fleming Road in Pine Township, Mercer County.7:10 p.m. Friday — About $500 in damage was caused when someone deliberately drove a golf cart across a green at the Hiland Golf Course on St. Wendelin Road in Oakland Township.3:30 p.m. Friday — Police said a car driven by Luann Collins, 49, of Butler struck the rear of an SUV on Route 68 in Connoquenessing Township. The collision pushed the SUV, driven by Carol McLeod, 40, of Freedom, Beaver County, into a utility trailer pulled by a third vehicle.Friday — Police reported that 12 miscellaneous elementary resource books, valued at $240, were stolen from a vehicle at Last Laff Bar in Chicora.1:50 p.m. Thursday — Upon being discovered in a Karns City garage on Main Street by owner Jeff Parkinson, 50, an unidentified man pushed Parkinson to the ground and fled. Police believe the man may be a vagrant who was using the garage as place to sleep. He is described as white, in his 30s, about 6 feet tall with an average build and no facial hair. The man was wearing a dark green jacket and blue jeans. Anyone with information about the man's identity should call police at 724-284-8100.11:15 a.m. Thursday — Michael Kistler, 27, was charged with retail theft after allegedly stealing nearly $1,500 worth of various DVDs at the f.y.e. store in Clearview Mall in Center Township.8:45 a.m. Sept. 24 — Cars driven by Zacharie Pieper, 20, of Butler and Judith Hartman, 52, of Cabot collided at Route 356 and Great Belt Road in Jefferson Township.Hartman and a passenger in her car, Brianna Toward, 24, of Cabot, suffered minor injuries. Police said Pieper was cited for an illegal left turn.Sept. 9 — A chain saw and socket set were stolen between Sept. 1 and 9 from a garage at the Boosel Road home of Walter Boosel in Concord Township. The stolen property is valued at $350.

5:45 p.m. Thursday — A vehicle driven by Jason Miller, 29, of Sykesville, Pa., traveling eastbound on Route 68 in Bradys Bend Township crossed the center line and collided with a vehicle driven by Michael Haugh, 53, of Karns City. Both drivers and Haugh's passenger, Neal Tara, 39, of Orchard Park, N.Y., received minor injuries.

Saturday — ADirect TV control unit was stolen in a burglary between 12:30 and 6 a.m. at the Main Street apartment of Adrian Southworth in Emlenton, Venango County.
