Kenneth O. Patten, 76, of Butler died at 1 a.m. Monday at his home.

Born May 5, 1931, in Bairdford, he was the son of Ralph A. and Stella Marie McHarg Patten.

He attended Nixon United Methodist Church. He was a member of VFW Post 4809, FRA 99 and Sons of The American Revolution.

He retired from the Navy after 42 years.

He is survived by his wife, Delores W. Scott Means Patten, whom he married Oct. 25, 2002; a son, Dr. Kenneth O. Patten Jr. of Champagne, Ill.; a stepdaughter, Diane Fraley of East Butler; two stepsons, James Means of Fredricksburg, Texas, and Paul Means of Butler; a sister, Mrs. Willis (Phyllis) Rasely of Butler; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Carol Reel Patten, who died Jan. 11, 2000, and a sister.

<B>PATTEN</B> — Friends of Kenneth O. Patten, who died Monday, Aug. 27, 2007, will be received from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Thursday at <B>Young Funeral Home</B>, Butler, with the Rev.
