The American Legion Riders, Butler Chapter 117 and the Marine Corps Reserve, Bantam Marine Detachment 743 will host a Toys for Tots motorcycle Ride on Oct. 6.

To participate, riders must donate a new toy. Riders will meet at 11 a.m. in the west parking lot at Wal-Mart, New Castle Road, Butler Township. The ride will leave at noon and will stop at various legion posts to gather donations.

Adance will follow at 8 p.m. at the legion's post home on South Main Street. Atoy or monetary donation is required for admission.

No stuffed toys will be accepted.

CHERRY TWP — A Family Fall Story Hour will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursdays at the North Trails Public Library, Route 308.For details, call 724-283-2279.

CENTER TWP — The American Association of University Women will host its annual book sale during mall hours Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Clearview Mall.Books, videos, CDs and DVDs will be sold. Items will be sold for $5 a bag on Sunday. Proceeds benefit local and national education programs.

SUMMIT TWP — A flea market will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at St. Wendelin Roman Catholic Church, 210 St. Wendelin Road.For information, call the church office, 724-287-0820.

PITTSBURGH — Christian vocalist Gianna Jessen will be among the featured speakers at the 2007 Pennsylvania Pro-Life conference to be held Nov. 3 at the Raddison Hotel, Pittsburgh Greentree.Other speakers include the Most Rev.
