Weston 50th anniversary
Samuel and Dorothy Weston of Butler celebrated 50 years of marriage recently with an open house for friends and family at the home of their daughter.
The former Dorothy Carlson married Weston Sept. 7, 1957, at Evangelical Lutheran Church in Mount Jewett.
They have four children, Jon Weston of McKean County and Samuel Weston, Jacqueline Weston Puchnick and Peggy Weston, all of Butler.
They also have seven grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
Weston is retired from North Star Motor in Zelienople. He enjoys fishing and is a former piano and trumpet player.Mrs. Weston is retired from Pappans, where she worked as a waitress. She enjoys gardening and is a former member of the Rainbow Assembly in Mount Jewett.The couple belongs to First English Lutheran Church.
