Catherine and Gerard Green

Gerard and Catherine Green of Herman celebrated 50 years of marriage recently with a Mass at St. Mary's of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman, followed by a reception at Herman Fire Hall.

The former Catherine Marx married Green Sept. 14, 1957, at St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.

They have seven children, John Green of Longview, Texas; June Lewetag, Judy Atkinson, Shirley Green and Dianne Green, all of Butler; Lorie Wizorek of Grove City; and Gerard Green Jr. of King George, Va.

They also have 13 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Green is retired from Pennsylvania Water Company.Mrs. Green is a homemaker.They enjoy gardening and activities at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, where they are both members.
