Marilyn Y. "Sis" Kusick, 72, of Bradys Bend died unexpectedly Tuesday morning at Butler Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

Born in Sugarcreek Township, Armstrong County, Nov. 16, 1934, she was the daughter of Howard and Sarah Kamerer Snow.

She was a longtime, devoted member of the St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Bradys Bend and had served on the custodial staff for years.

Mrs. Kusick was a graduate of East Brady High School and had worked at Long's Drugstore of East Brady in the early 1950s. She also had done babysitting in the Bradys Bend area for years.

Surviving are her husband, John A. Kusick, whom she married in April 1957; three daughters, Amy Miller and her husband, Mike, of East Brady, Beverly Scherer and her husband, Bill, of Bonita Springs, Fla., and Jill Stimac and her husband, Matt, of Bradys Bend; three sons, John Kusick and his wife, Anessa, of East Brady, Steve Kusick of Monaca and Paul Kusick of Bradys Bend; 10 grandchildren, Ashley, Kory, Nicholas and Emma Kusick, Matt and Josh Stimac, Willy and Steven Scherer and Brad and Eric Miller; and a number of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by a beloved son, Jeff Kusick, who died in 1995, and by five brothers and four sisters.

<B>KUSICK</B> — Friends of Marilyn Y. "Sis" Kusick, who died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the <B>Charles B. Buechele Funeral Home</B>, 105 Fourth St., East Brady. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Bradys Bend, with the Rev. Joseph Bonafed officiating. Burial will follow at the St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Bradys Bend.
