Helen Thompson, 93, of Butler Township died at 8:40 a.m. Saturday at The Willows at Presbyterian Senior Care, Oakmont.

Born Aug. 22, 1913, in McKees Rocks, she was the daughter of William and Mary Bogacz Hans.

She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church.

Mrs. Thompson enjoyed reading, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends.

She and her late husband owned and operated the snack bar in the Butler County Courthouse for 15 years. They also operated the concession stand at the Butler County Community College for 20 years, before retiring in 1986.

Surviving are a niece, Darlene (Jerry)Szymkowiak of Leechburg; a nephew, Timothy R. (Debbie) Zellsman of Buffalo Township; four great-nieces; two great-nephews; four great-great-nieces; two great-great-nephews; and her very dear friends, Ethel and Ray Fuller of Butler.

Her husband, Lloyd A. Thompson, died Dec. 21, 1988. A sister, Rosella Zellsman, also preceded her in death.

<B>THOMPSON </B>— Friends of Helen Thompson, who died Saturday, Aug. 18, 2007, will be received from 5 to 9 p.m. on Thursday at the <B>Dennis J. Daugherty Funeral Home</B>, 324 Fourth St., Freeport. Viewing also will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church, 221 New Castle St., Butler, where services will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. David Maitland officiating. Private burial will follow at the Rose Hill Cemetery, Butler.Memorial donations may be made to her church.
