Charles F. Renn

Charles F. "Charlie" Renn, 84, Defiance, Ohio, died at 7 p.m. Sunday at St. Vincent Mercy Hospital, Toledo Ohio.

Born June 24, 1923, in Butler, he was the son of Charles Albert and Clara Bodesheim Renn.

He was a World War II Army veteran.

Mr. Renn retired in 1985 as chief electrician at General Motors after 30 years.

Surviving are four sons, Charles C. (Sue Brown) Renn, Stephen (Londa) Renn and James Renn, all of Defiance, and Joseph (Laura) Renn of Archbold, Ohio; two daughters, Connie (John) Robertson of Sylvania, Ohio, and Rita (Fred) Bergman of Defiance; a stepdaughter, Nancy Brown of Toledo; a stepson, Frank (Deb) Brown of Defiance; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren, and a step-great-grandchild.

In 1970, he married Kathaleen Brown, who died in 1992. A sister, Patricia Renn Rice, also preceded him in death.

<B>RENN </B>— Friends of Charles F. "Charlie" Renn, who died Sunday, Aug. 19, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Mast-Mock-Hoffman-Hanenkrath-Clevenger-Schaffer Funeral Home</B>, 529 Jefferson Ave., Defiance. Visitation also will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the St. John Lutheran Church, 655 Wayne Ave., Defiance, where services will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Donald Luhring officiating. Burial will be at Riverview Memory Gardens, Defiance.Memorial donations may be made to Caring Way/Hospice of Defiance.We commend his soul to our Lord and Savoir.
