Knights top Neshannock

Kevin Wood and Doug Vogus each scored goals and goal keeper Steven Frey continued his stellar play as the Knoch boys soccer team downed Neshannock 2-0 Thursday.

Adam Sharbaugh added an assist for the Knights (7-1-1).

Frey earned his sixth shutout of the season, stopping 10 shots.

Karns City 4, Clarion-Limestone 1 — Freshman Eric McCue scored three goals and Nick Lopresti added a goal and an assist for the Gremlins (6-1, 6-0).

Freeport 6, Kittanning 0 — The Yellowjackets improved to 4-3-1 overall and 3-3-1 in the section with this rout of Kittanning.Boys GolfThe Karns City golf team is winless no more.Saxon Parker was the medalist, shooting a 39, as the Gremlins (1-8) edged Clarion 248-249.

Moniteau dropped to 0-5.The Karns City junior varsity team won 25-9, 25-14.

<B>Shaler 3, Butler 2 — </B>Becca Crissman and Ashley Oluschak each scored for the Golden Tornado in this recent overtime loss.<B>Hickory 4, Grove City 1</B> — Shannon Smoker scored the lone goal for the Eagles.Keeper Darcie Holmes recorded 16 saves for Grove City, which won the JV contest 2-1.

Anna Jeffries won a singles match and the doubles duos of Rachel Wilson-Rosel Nesbitt and Shannon Gallagher-Cassie Houk also won as Butler defeated Indiana 3-2.
