Bakerstown AllianceBakerstown Alliance Church, 4030 Bakerstown Road, Gibsonia, will be starting a new study based on the book "In A Pit With a Lion On A Snowy Day" by Mark Batterson. Calvary TempleMado Fernandez will be the guest speaker at 10 a.m. Sunday service at Calvary Temple Worship Center, Route 422 West, 1465 Sampson St., New Castle. Mado and her late husband Ruben were pastors of a church in Oviedo, Spain, since the 1960s. Mado continues to serve throughout Oviedo and Northern Spain.

Chapel on the HillThe Chapel on the Hill Assembly of God, 6202 Highway 208, Emlenton, will celebrate its 25th anniversary Oct. 7. The event will begin with a 10 a.m. service including music and guest speakers, David and Karen Brickley. Christ Community U.M.Members of Christ Community United Methodist Church, 205 N. Christ's OutreachThe youth group of Christ's Outreach Church, 120 Walker Ave., will have a lock-in Friday night. The event will begin at 7 p.m. Cost is $15 to participate in bowling, laser tag, movies and food.The Caravan Kids club will have a free lock-in at 7 p.m. Sept. 28 in the church gym. Community LifeCommunity Life Church, McQuistion Elementary School, has announced its next Wednesday series, based on the book "Driven by Eternity" by John Bevere, will begin at 7:15 p.m. Sept. 19 at the Butler YWCA, 120 W. Cunningham St. Cost for the workbook/devotional is $13, and the book is also $13. The series will continue for 14 weeks.
