Paper Trail
Members of the Butler branch of the American Association of University Women chat around a collection bin for used books in front of the J.C. Penney store on Butler's Main Street in September 1968. From left are Mrs. C.C. Burnham and Mrs. R.A. Ashbaugh, co-chairwomen of the Fellowship Funds drive, and Mrs. Robert G. Taylor, branch president. Today, the Butler AAUW collects used books, videos, tapes, CDs and DVDs to help finance scholarships. This year, donations can be dropped off at Friedman's stores on Brady Street in Butler and the Greater Butler Mart and Point Plaza, both in Butler Township, through Saturday. Books will also be accepted at the Butler Public Library and Giant Eagle stores at the Clearview Mall and Moraine Pointe Plaza. The sale will be Sept. 28 to 30 at the Clearview Mall.
