DOG MATTER
I am witting this letter to all of the dog lovers in butler county. There is a problem that has occurred for years and no one will do anything about it. Here is the situation; 18 coon dogs living in one area barking and howling all the time. It is known for some of these dogs to get loose and come into my yard, causing my dog to bark and get loose. These dogs can not be caught apparently because I have contacted the local dog catcher and state dog catcher. But the funny thing is when it caused my dog to get loose my dog was caught and taken to the local humane society. In return cost me money and the township over someone else’s dogs getting loose. That is just the beginning of the problems i love animals I have two dogs my self not only do I clean up after them I am now having to start cleaning up after the dogs that are running loose, I walked on porch the other morning and seen the dog taking a dump right on my porch but I am still hearing nothing can be done about this.
I have people knocking on my door telling me that my dog is loose, that it almost got hit i really hate seeing these dogs like this. The one dog was running around with a five foot chain around its neck for days and is still loose. The owner of these dogs does not even live around here he lives in Lyndora. He does not have to put up with the sleepless nights due to the barking and howling. The owner can open his house windows because he does not have to smell them. I feel something needs to be done about this and nobody will catch these dogs. I really do not want to have to wake up one morning a find a dead dog on the rode because no one cares enough to leash the dog back up. These dogs deserve better care then this. One has already gotten hit. I guess the bottom line is as long as you have a kennel license this kind of behavior must be okay.(in their world)
