Harriet W. Wimer
Harriet W. Wimer, 91 of Fombell died Monday at the Passavant Retirement Community, Zelie-nople.
Born June 4, 1916, in Connellsville, she was a daughter of Aaron and Ivy Elizabeth Blubaugh Ward.
She worked 26 years as the night shift registered charge nurse at the North Hills Passavant Hospital and retired in 1986. After retirement, and because of her love of nursing, she continued working in nursing at the Evergreen Nursing Home in Harmony and at Highland Hall in New Castle until she was 83.
Mrs. Wimer was a member of the Portersville United Presbyterian Church and the Eastern Star Lodge in Zelienople.
In 1933, she married Norman J. Wimer in Wurtemburg, Beaver County. He died Jan. 17, 1993.
Surviving are a son, James W. Wimer and his wife, Eleanor, of Fombell; three daughters, Twila Young and her husband, Leroy, of New Sewickley Township, Beaver County, Elizabeth "Liz" Wright and her husband, Robert, of Fombell, and Joyce Laufer and her husband, James, of Ellwood City; nine grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great- grandchildren.
<B>WIMER </B>— Friends of Harriet W. Wimer, who died Monday, Aug. 13, 2007, will be received from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Boylan Funeral Home</B>, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Tom Clyde officiating.
