Wednesday — An 18-year-old Lyndora man was injured when his dirt bike crashed in a wooded area off Bessemer Avenue in Lyndora. Jeffrey Rivers was taken by ambulance with head and shoulder injuries to Butler Memorial Hospital.Police said Rivers was later flown by medical helicopter to a Pittsburgh hospital for additional treatment; his condition was not known this morning.5:50 p.m. Tuesday — Tyler Kotch, 16, of Renfrew suffered minor injuries when his bicycle collided with a car at South Eberhart Road and Heartland Drive. Kotch was knocked off his bike and received abrasions. The car, driven by Travis Fair, 16, of Butler, following the collision, hit ornamental stones outside a home.
2:29 p.m. Sept. 6 — An employee at Armstrong Cable, located on Perry Way, reported the theft by 12 to 16 spools of wire valued at $1,000. The robbers cut through a fence on the property to take the wire from a storage area.
4 p.m. Wednesday — A pickup truck driven by David Hilty, 51, of Pittsburgh struck the rear of a car on Route 68 at the Connoquenessing Elementary School in Connoquenessing Township.The car, driven by Fred Nichols, 34, of Butler, after being rear-ended was pushed into the back of a pickup driven by Herman Perrin Jr., 49, of Butler. Police said Hilty was cited for an undisclosed traffic violation.4:38 p.m. Tuesday — An Allegheny County man suffered head and arm injures when his car crashed into an embankment and rolled over several times before landing on its roof on Interstate 79 in Worth Township.Police said Caleb Pass, 22, of Sewickley was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for injuries in the crash; his condition was not known this morning.10 a.m. Tuesday — A car driven by John Angelone, 54, of Harmony struck a road sign along rain-slickened Interstate 79 in Jackson Township.9:24 a.m. Tuesday — A pickup driven by Joseph Horst, 65, of Mars and a car driven by Ava Smith, 26, of Connoquenessing collided at Route 68 and Shannon Road in Connoquenessing Township. Police said Horst was cited for driving too fast for conditions.Tuesday — An unknown driver in an unidentified vehicle crashed into a yard ornament along Moose Road in Connoquenessing Township, and did not stop following the accident. The vehicle also tore up a large amount of turf at the home of Donna Schoeber.10:20 a.m. Monday — Pickups driven by Christopher Scott, 25, of Saxonburg and William Chuba, 49, of Prospect collided at Route 68 and Eagle Mill Road in Connoquenessing Township.Monday — A Hewlett-Packard laptop computer was stolen from the Pine Glen Apartments in Slippery Rock Township. Owner Christopher Lewis of Slippery Rock said the computer was taken during a party at one of the apartments.Monday — Cathleen D. Johnson of Prospect told police that a wallet containing $30 was taken between 10:15 a.m. and noon from the Presbyterian Church of Prospect.Monday — Rodney Stuebgen of Butler told police that two chrome power mirrors were stolen between Sept. 3 and Monday from a 1993 Chevrolet van.Sept. 7 — Sarah Rapp of Slippery Rock said a Kodak Easy Share digital camera was stolen between 12:01 and 1 a.m. from an apartment at the Kiester Apartments' complex in Slippery Rock Township.
