The Butler County Chapter of the American Red Cross will host its annual meeting at 6:15 p.m. Sept. 20 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center Auditorium, 325 New Castle Road.
During the meeting, a new board of directors will be elected and volunteers from the past year will be honored.

HARMONY — Luanne Eisler, co-author of "An Historical Gazetteer of Butler County, Pennsylvania," will speak on the process of creating the book at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Harmony Museum's Stewart Hall, Mercer Street.Eisler, co-author Glee McKnight and cartographer Janet Smith worked on the project for five years. The comprehensive hardcover book will be available for purchase at the program. Proceeds benefit the Butler Public Library.
