Gornick

Ann A. Gornick of Butler, formerly of Park Manor, died at 11:19 p.m. Thursday in the Good Samaritan Hospice Unit at Concordia Lutheran Ministries, Cabot.

Born in Lyndora, she was the daughter of Peter and Theodosia Rapier.

She was a homemaker; and prior to her marriage, she was a chef for many prominent local families.

Mrs. Gornick was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church.

She was the loving mother of Patrick and his wife, Mary, Gornick of Virginia and Mrs. Patricia Isaac of Butler. Also surviving are five grandchildren, James Isaac Jr. of Butler, Kim and her husband, Brian Wasko, of Maryland, Mark and his wife, Gina Gornick, of Virginia, Jean and her husband, Jeff Wells, of Virginia and Stefanie and her husband, Sean Burge, of South Carolina; and 10 great-grandchildren, Brian Wasko Jr., Trevor, Gavin and Carson Wells, Brooke Gornick Seth and Cody Gornick, Hunter and Zachary Rollins and Morgan Coletti.

Her husband, Marcus Gornick, died Aug. 3, 1970. Two brothers, Nick and Mike Rapier; and two sisters, Marie Lavorini and Olga Lenyk also preceded her in death.

<B>GORNICK </B>— Funeral services for Ann A. Gornick, who died Thursday, Aug. 9, 2007, were held Saturday; and burial was at the Calvary Cemetery.Donations may be made to the Good Samaritan Hospice at Concordia.Arrangements were handled by the <B>Martin Funeral Home, </B>and information also is available at www.martinfh.net.
