S.V. Education
I too believe the school districts offer was a generous one. I wish I were guaranteed a 20% increase in wages over five years with fixed health care costs, A nine month work year with an additional month off during that period.
However, excellent teachers cost money to attract, and retain. This is absolutely necessary for our ultimite goal;
the education of our children.
So it comes down to what are you willing to pay.
S.V. teachers are already the highest paid in Butler County,
and yet their union rep. has the audacity to say: we are a wealthy district and our teachers should be paid what a comparable wealthy district (North Allegheny) are paid.
May I Respectfully remind their rep. This is not the Cranberry school district. And not everyone, including Cranberry residents are in fact wealthy!
Residents charge their school board with the care of their childrens education and the costs thereof.
With much respect to the teachers; the school board offer is a fair one. One that most residents could only dream of, including myself.
