Saturday — Michelle Wilson, no address given, reported her son's bicycle was stolen from in front of a store at the West End Plaza. The bike is a 20-inch, blue and white Next model.7 p.m. Sept. 2 — Acar driven by Patricia Hughes, 60, and a sport utility vehicle driven by Lisandro Cumba, 46, both of Butler collided at West Jefferson and Chestnut streets.Police said Cumba suffered unknown injuries. Latasha Cumba, 15, of Butler, a passenger in the SUV, was treated for minor injuries at Burler Memorial Hospital. Police said Hughes was cited for a traffic signal violation.
Sunday — Dennis Wyant told police that someone overnight broke into a shed at his Butler Road home and stole a hedge trimmer.8:16 p.m. Saturday — Joshua Eskeets, 19, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence on Litman Road.7:12 a.m. Saturday — Acar driven by Christopher Abbott, 26, of Slippery Rock and a pickup truck driven by Kathryn Mitchell, 54, of Butler collided at Meridian and Evans City roads. Francine Maitland, 54, no address given, a passenger in the car, was treated at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh for unknown injuries.11:25 a.m. Friday — Pickup trucks driven by Richard Steward, 53, of Saxonburg and Francis Osche, 71, of Renfrew collided on Evans City Road near the Butler Veterans Affairs Medical Center.
Friday — Five people were arrested for driving under the influence during a roving DUIpatrol in the county.Additionally, officers cited seven people for underage drinking, wrote 11 traffic tickets, issued 28 traffic warnings and picked up one suspect wanted on a warrant.Officers also helped police on several major incidents in the county, including a robbery and aggravated assault.
9:40 p.m. Monday — Bryan File, 31, of Petrolia was arrested for suspicion of driving under the influence after his pickup truck crashed into a tree along Bonniebrook Road near Route 422 in Summit Township.Police said File told troopers that the crash occurred when another pickup, possibly a black, Ford 150, ran a stop sign and forced him off the road.10:20 a.m. Monday — Pickup trucks driven by Christopher Scott, 25, of Saxonburg and William Chuba, 49, of Prospect collided at Route 68 and Eagle Mill Road in Connoquenessing Township.3:15 a.m. Monday — Nothing was reported taken in a burglary at the Donegal Grange in Donegal Township.Monday — Thousands of dollars worth of food was ruined after someone cut the refrigerant lines to a cooler and freezer at Frankferd Farms Foods on Saxonburg Boulevard in Clinton Township. Combined repair costs and food loss was estimated at $11,500.2:51 a.m. Sunday — Christopher Pickett, 21, of Slippery Rock was arrested for suspicion of DUI at Route 173 and Slippery Rock Road in Slippery Rock.
Sunday — About 225 gallons of diesel fuel was stolen between 6 p.m. Friday and 11:30 a.m. Sunday from the tanks of a Freightliner tractor parked at the Kwik Fill plaza on Route 8 in Barkeyville, Venango County. Gurpreet Rangru of Grove City owns the rig.
6:24 p.m. Monday — Lee Lester, 43, of Grove City was injured when the pickup truck he was driving struck a tree along Nutt Road in Pine Township, Mercer County.Pine Township firefighters had to cut through the wreckage to get Lester out; he was taken to Grove City Medical Center with moderate injuries, and then flown by medical helicopter to Allegheny General Hospital in Grove City.2:30 a.m. Saturday — Mitchell Lagun, 23, was arrested for allegedly threatening his girlfriend, Michelle Roe, 31, at the couple's Enterprise Road home in Pine Township, Mercer County.Police said Lagun also scuffled with troopers attempting to take him into custody. The defendant is charged with terroristic threats and resisting arrest.Sept. 2 — An unknown rustler stole a 6-year-old, off-white heifer cow from a field at the Black Run Road home of Sarah Gargasz in Liberty Township, Mercer County. The Black Angus/Charlait cow, valued at $750, was stolen between Aug. 1 and Sept. 2.
