Rita and Ben Hoffman

Ben and Rita Hoffman of Renfrew celebrated 50 years of marriage with a family dinner recently at Willows Inn in Industry.

The former Rita Marie Altman married Hoffman Sept. 7, 1957, at St. Mary Roman Catholic Church in Winfield Township.

They have three children, Lori Cygan of Butler and Tim Hoffman and Patty Doty, both of Renfrew.

They also have eight grandchildren.Hoffman is retired from Armco, where he worked as a conductor and engineer. Amember of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Butler, he enjoys bowling and gardening.Mrs. Hoffman is a homemaker. She belongs to St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church, where she is a member of the Christian Mothers.
