Regis Ferrere of Forestville celebrated his 80th birthday recently with a family dinner at Primo Barone's in Franklin.

Ferrere was born Sept. 1, 1927, in Boyers. He married Anna Kale on Oct. 1, 1949.

He has seven children, Regis Ferrere and Rita Ferrere, both of Forestville; Joyce Flinner of Prospect; Karen Schmidt of Spring, Texas; Paula Maloney of Greenville; Ronald Ferrere of Butler; and Diane Merkle of Grove City.

He also has four grandchildren.

Ferrere is retired from the U.S. Steel Sintering Plant in Saxonburg.

He belongs to St. Anthony Roman Catholic Church.
