3:45 p.m. Saturday — Kim Geibel 24, of Butler told police that she was knocked down when an unidentified black car struck her as she crossed West Brady Street. Geibel described the driver of the car as a white man in his 30s.
4:40 p.m. Sunday — Tiffany Lee Armour, 22, of Butler faces hit-and-run charges after asport utility vehicle she was driving crashed into a fence and sign along Bonniebrook Road in Jefferson Township. Police said she fled the scene after the crash but was later found.Armor, police said, is charged with accidents involving damage to unattended property. Dale Buzard of Butler owns the fence and the township owns the sign struck and damaged in the crash.11:07 a.m. Sunday — A car driven by Kayla Voelker, 18, of Butler crashed into an embankment and guardrail on Bonniebrook Road in Summit Township. Voelker was treated at Butler Memorial Hospital for unknown injuries.7:15 a.m. Saturday — Three people were injured when a minivan driven by Jessy Diporto, 42, of Polk, Venango County, crashed into a guardrail on Interstate 79 in Muddy Creek Township.Diporto and two passengers, Wendy Love, 33, and Karlee Bachman, 9, both of Polk were treated for unknown injuries at Butler Memorial Hospital. Police said Diporto was cited for driving too fast for conditions.4:56 a.m. Saturday — An18-year-old Harrisville man suffered an apparent drug overdose while at a party at a Templeton Lane home in Mercer Township. The man, who police did not identify, was taken to Grove City Medical Center; his condition was not known this morning.12:23 a.m. Saturday — James Ferraro, 33, of Valencia told police that an unidentified vehicle did not stop after sideswiping his car at Sandy Hill Road andIdalin Lane in Middlesex Township.Saturday — Three guns, a number of DVDs and household items were reported stolen between Aug. 25 and Saturday at a Manculich Lane home in Donegal Township. Edward Barnett of Pittsburgh owns the stolen property.Saturday — Police reported that a Florida couple is offering a $500 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons who stole firewood from a Wonderland Park Road home in Forward Township. Robert and Diana Bowman of Veracliff own the home.Anyone with information on the theft is asked to call the barracks at 724-284-8100.7:45 a.m. Friday — Mark Matz, 38, of Saxonburg faces a pair of drug-related charges after his arrest at the Saxony Estates Trailer Court in Jefferson Township.Police said Matz was picked up on a warrant issued out of Allegheny County, and placed in the Butler County Prison. Matz is charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia, as well as harassment.3:01 a.m. Saturday — Three Grove City residents are suspected in the break-in of a Slippery Rock Township apartment. Property valued at $1,850 was reported stolen in the burglary at Pine Glen Apartments on Cameron Drive. Police said charges are pending against the suspects, identified as two women and a man.Friday — Twenty-five people were stopped for speeding during an aerial speed enforcement operation on Route 422 in Butler Township. Township police assisted state police in the detail conducted between 3:30 and 5:40 p.m.Police noted that one person also was cited for driving with a license suspended stemming from a previous DUI arrest. Additionally during the enforcement detail, officers issued 27 citations and two warnings.11:51 p.m. Thursday — Frank Uhl, 49, of Butler was arrested for suspicion of DUI at Route 38 and Kuhn Road in Concord Township.8:30 p.m. Thursday — Police said Howard Pisor, 38, of Hilliards and Donald Deal, 25, of Parker were arrested for simple assault following an altercation at an Oneida Valley Road home in Venango Township.4:31 p.m. Thursday — Acar driven by one Slippery Rock youth struck the rear of a car driven by another Slippery Rock youth on Route 108 near Barron Road in Worth Township. Police said the car that was rear-ended in the crash was then pushed into the rear of a third car, driven by David Glover, 33, of Cranberry Township.Police did not identify either of the other drivers, both 17 years old. The driver that caused the chain-reaction crash was cited for driving too fast for conditions.1:45 p.m. Thursday — Acar driven by Michelle Ball, 24, of Butler struck the side of another car on Route 38 near Henricks Road in Summit Township. Police said Ball was cited for careless driving in the crash. Anna Travaglio, 78, of Butler was driving the car that Ball struck.Wednesday — Kelly Farinelli of Cowansville, Armstrong County, reported that her Verizon cell phone was stolen between 5 and 7:30 p.m. from a locker at Moniteau High School in Cherry Township.Sept. 2 — Construction materials including concrete blocks, lumber, plywood and plastic pipe were stolen between Aug. 19 and Sept. 2 from an unidentified property on West Eldorado Road in Parker Township. Howard McElheny of Glenshaw, Allegheny County, owns the stolen property.
7 p.m. Friday — Two Butler area residents were seriously injured when their motorcycle crashed on Route 8 in Victory Township, Venango County.Robert Collins, 44, and Shelly Wagner, 37, were flown by medical helicopter to St. Elizabeth Health Center in Youngstown, Ohio. Their conditions were not known this morning.Police said the crash occurred when Collins lost control of the bike, which went off the road and flipped. Collins and Wagner were both thrown off the cycle. Apolice report did not indicate if either rider was wearing a helmet.
