Weinheimer

William F. Weinheimer, 88, of Zelienople, formerly of Ross Township, died Thursday at the Passavant Retirement Community, Zelienople.

Born Oct. 1, 1918, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of William E. and Lillian Munshaw Weinheimer.

Mr. Weinheimer served as an Army captain during World War II and was awarded a Bronze Star medal.

He graduated in 1950 from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in business administration and retired in 1981 as manager of the personnel department at Equitable Gas Co. after 45 years. He was a member of Alpha Kappa Psi, a professional business fraternity.

He also was a member of English Lutheran Church, Zelienople and a former member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Perrysville.

Surviving are his wife, Eleanor A. Ossenberg Weinheimer; a daughter, Cheryl A. Eastly of Ormond Beach, Fla.; a brother, Elmer J. "Bud" Weinheimer of Ocala, Fla.; three grandchildren, Sarah, Jonathan W. and David J. Eastly; and several nieces and nephews.
