Tess Dodds
After an extended illness, Our Lord and Savior chose Tess Dodds to join him in his eternal kingdom on Aug. 2, 2007. She was surrounded by her devoted husband and loving family.
Born April 26, 1929, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late John and Mary Sosnowska Trachet.
She was retired from the Western Beaver School District where she had been employed in the cafeteria department.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her twin sister, Ravella; brothers, Michael "Bud", William, John "Jack", Paul & Tony Trachet; sisters, Stella Compton, Anne Frenchak and Mary Ross.
She is survived by her loving family: husband of 58 years, Robert J. Dodds Sr.; children and their spouses: Randall & Joan Dodds, Calcutta, Robert & Terry Dodds, Peters Twp., PA, Denise and Michael Caffro, East Liverpool, OH and Deanna Kalinoski and James LaMantia Jr., Ohioville; 8 grandchildren: Randall Dodds, Cindy Cross, Lindsay Dodds, Lauren Legg, Michael Caffro, Matthew Caffro, Breanne Kalinoski and Jessica Kalinoski; 2 great-grandchildren: Zachary and Hannah Dodds; brother & sister-in-law: Ron & Sally Trachet, Grass Lake, MI; sisters & brothers-in-law: Kathryn & Jim Smith, Erie, Helen & George Isovitsch, Butler.
Tess was loved and respected by all who knew her. She spent her lifetime as a caring wife, mother and grandmother. Tess gave to her family by cooking countless wonderful meals and her passion of gardening and canning was enjoyed by everyone.
We will miss this spirited, patriotic, young-at-heart woman, but will be surrounded by the many memories & pictures we have of her with us.
<B>DODDS </B>— Friends of Tess Dodds, who died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the <B>D.L. WILLIAMS FUNERAL HOME</B>, 848 Midland Ave., Midland. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Hope Lutheran Evangelical Church, Brighton Twp., with Pastor David Yoder officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Industry.
