Dorothy M. Brooks, 82, of Middlesex Township died Saturday morning after an extended illness.

Born April 24, 1925, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Mary Mae Ackerman Hoerstig.

She was a retired executive, who worked in her husband's enterprises for many years.

Mrs. Brooks was a member of the Liberty Independent Baptist Church in Cranberry Township.

She sought to honor God in all aspects of her life.

Surviving are her husband, A.B. (Al) Brooks, whom she married June 27, 1953; a son, Mark L. Brooks and his wife, Sandra, of Sauk Village, Ill.; a daughter, Kim Marie Schuelke and her husband, Eric, of Butler; five grandsons, Roger and John Brooks, Lance Cpl. Ian, Aaron and Evan Schuelke; and a great-grandson, Tobias Brooks.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Hoerstig.

<B>BROOKS — </B>Friends of Dorothy M. Brooks, who died Saturday, Aug. 4, 2007, will be received from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>mcdonald-aeberli funeral home, </B>238 Crowe Ave. in Mars. Funeral services will follow at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jack Werth, pastor of the Liberty Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Gardens in Indiana Township.Memorial donations for the family may be made to the Rev.
