6:44 p.m. Tuesday — Vehicles driven by Gary Swigart, 50, of Lyndora and Christopher Warnick, 35, of Butler collided at North Eberhart Road and Route 68.Swigart's vehicle, following the collision, struck a utility pole. Aportion of the road was closed for about three hours until an Allegheny Power crew could replace the damaged pole.Tuesday — Police charged Steven DeFelice Jr., 22, of Lyndora with possession of a small amount of marijuana. The charges were filed after police on Aug. 29 arrested DeFelice on a bench warrant in connection with an unrelated case, and found him with the suspected marijuana.Tuesday — Police reported they have charged three youths in connection with the Aug. 23 break-in at the Meridian Station convenience store on Meridian Road.Officers immediately responded to the business around 3 a.m. when the burglar alarm sounded, possibly after the suspects broke a window at the front of the building.Police spotted one of the suspects, a 15-year-old, wearing some type of mask and running from the building. The teen was nabbed on Winterwood Drive.Not long after, police said, a second suspect was arrested after seeking medical treatment for a hand injury. Authorities most recently arrested the third suspected burglar.Police did not identify the suspects, two from Renfrew and one from Butler, who are charged in juvenile court with burglary, conspiracy and other charges.Tuesday — Police charged Stacie Tucker, 38, of Butler for allegedly shoplifting several items on Sunday from the Wal-Mart store at Butler Commons.Investigators said Tucker, after a Wal-Mart security officer stopped her from leaving the store, initially gave police a false name and date of birth.Tucker is charged with retail theft and false identification to law enforcement authorities. Apolice report noted that Tucker has several prior retail theft convictions.11:28 p.m. Monday — David Steiger, 46, of Butler was arrested for allegedly violating a protection from abuse order at the Belmont IIbar, Bon Aire Plaza. Police said Steiger was arraigned for the PFAviolation and placed in the Butler County Prison.4:50 p.m. Friday — Toni Chavis, no age given, of Lyndora is accused of trying to steal a shopping cart full of items from the Giant Eagle store at Moraine Pointe Plaza. Chavis is charged with retail theft.

8:55 p.m. Tuesday — Christopher Michael Miller, 20, was arrested for allegedly assaulting a 19-year-old woman during a domestic dispute at his Fairview Avenue apartment. Miller is charged with simple assault and underage drinking.7:39 p.m. Monday — James Joseph Kelly, 18, of Butler was arrested for suspected drunken driving following a hit-and-run crash on North McKean Street.The crash occurred when a sport utility vehicle driven by Kelly struck a parked vehicle, owned by Michael Nanni of Butler. Police stopped the SUV at Pearl Street and Orchard Avenue. The owner of the SUV later told police that the defendant did not have permission to drive it.Kelly is charged with driving under the influence, DUI while a minor, underage drinking, accidents involving damage to an unattended vehicle, unauthorized use of a vehicle and driving with a suspended license.Mannon Rose, 18, of Fenelton, a passenger in the SUV, was cited for underage drinking and public drunkenness.

Monday — About 600 feet of copper welding wire worth $2,000 was stolen between 4 p.m. Friday and 2 p.m. Monday from an open pavilion near the East Brady American Legion in Bradys Bend Township, Armstrong County.Also taken in the theft were welding accessories and wire holders, valued at a combined $500. Police said Joseph Curran of East Brady owns the stolen property.State Police, Mercer11:45 a.m. Saturday — Four people were hurt when two cars collided at Route 208 and Old Ash Road in Springfield Township, Mercer County.Injured in the crash, police said, were both drivers, Jill Bowser, 21, of Slippery Rock and Michael Schmidt, 27, of Volant, as well as two passengers in Schmidt's car.
