Geibel, Thompson
Stephanie Geibel of Butler and David Thompson of Bethlehem were united in marriage at 1:30 p.m. June 9 at St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Butler. The Rev. Pierre Falkenhan and the Rev. Aden Ward officiated. A reception followed at the Tanglewood Center in Lyndora.
The bride is the daughter of William and Joyce Geibel of Butler. Parents of the bridegroom are Steve and Lucy Thompson of Bethlehem.
The maid of honor was Natalie Phillips of Ashburn, Va. Bridesmaids included Amanda Nebel of Cabot; Erin Black of Gallup, N.M.; Valerie Fitzmaurice of Fairfax, Va.; and the groom's sister Stacia Thompson of Pittsburgh.
Performing the duties of best man was Desmond Ling of Philadelphia. Ushers included Willy Shimer of Philadelphia; Jay Trovato of Hagerstown, Md.; Jeff Maher of West Chester; and Sean McCoy of Pittsburgh.
The bride is a 2002 graduate of Knoch High School and a 2006 graduate of Penn State University, where she earned a bachelor of science degree in industrial engineering. She works as a sales engineer for Applied Test Systems in Butler.
The groom graduated in 2002 from Liberty High School and in 2006 from Penn State University, earning a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering. He works as a mechanical engineer for CTI Biofuels in Pittsburgh.
Following a honeymoon trip to Niagara Falls, Canada, the couple is making their home in Butler.
