Visiting Dickinson scored twice in a span of 78 seconds in the third quarter and held on for a 17-13 football victory over Grove City College Saturday.

Wolverines quarterback Andrew DiDonato completed 24 of 45 passes for 252 yards, the yardage being the ninth-highest single game passing performance in school history.

Stephen Mercer caught five passes for 109 yards and one touchdown, a 61-yard pass from DiDonato. Ian Tobin caught nine passes for 42 yards and Jay Yanak six passes for 60 yards.

Fombell native Matt Weil scored on a 1-yard run that had given Grove City a 7-3 halftime lead.

The Wolverines drove to the Dickinson 17 with less than two minutes remaining, but turned the ball over on downs with 1:33 remaining.

Grove City will visit Carnegie Mellon on Saturday.
