Jones

Gary A. Jones, 53, of Marshall Township died suddenly July 31 at his home.

Raised in Ingomar, Gary was a loving husband, an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting, deep sea fishing, scuba diving, skiing and traveling with his loved ones. He spent much of his free time at the family camp in Tionesta and was in the process of planning a new recreational home in the Laurel Highlands where he planned on spending much of his retirement.

Gary was a manager and co-founder of Bear Metallurgical Co., a specialty alloy manufacturer in Butler, where he worked for 26 years. He was a hard working, caring and generous man who would give you the shirt off of his back.

Gary is survived by his wife of 20 years, Kathie Jones, and stepson Eric Kopta. Gary is also survived by his sister, Alice Jones of Franklin Park, brother Thomas Jones of Franklin Park, brother Kevin Jones of Fombell, as well as a large extended family of cousins, nieces, nephews and relatives.

Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his only son, Andrew Jones, and his sister, Lynne Schweiger Sandin, who Gary and all of the family miss very much.

Gary will be sorely missed by his family, friends and co-workers.

<B>JONES</B> — Friends of Gary A. Jones, who died Tuesday, July 31, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the <B>H.P. BRANDT FUNERAL HOME</B>, 1032 Perry Highway, Ross Township, where a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday.
