Carol A. Bruninghous
Carol A. Bruninghous, 78, of Economy died Friday at the St. John Specialty Care Center, Mars, after a brief illness.
Born Jan. 2, 1929, in Pittsburgh, she was a daughter of Charles and Elizabeth Frecker Bruninghous.
She was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh and was retired from the Koppers Co., Pittsburgh, as an accountant.
She was a member of 55 Plus of Economy and the Beaver Valley Piecemakers, a volunteer for the Meals on Wheels in Ambridge and Conway and was a member of the Rehoboth Lutheran Church, Economy.
Surviving are a sister, Elizabeth Schweikert of Economy; a niece, Leslie Volaric of Economy; and nephews, George Volaric of Raleigh N.C., Glenn, Volaric of Petrolia, Lee Volaric of Grove City, Hobart and Robert Schweikert, both of Economy, and Mark Schweikert of Enon Valley.
She was preceded in death by a sister, June Volaric in 1998; brothers-in-law Hobart Schweikert and George Volaric in 1999; two great-nieces, and a great-nephew.
<B>BRUNINGHOUS</B> — Friends of Carol A. Bruninghous, who died Friday, July 27, 2007, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the <B>Poland Funeral Home</B>, 901 First Ave., Conway. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Scott Gross officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.The family would like to thank the staff at St. John's for their compassionate and professional care for Carol during her illness.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the St. John Specialty Care Center, Mars PA 16046.
