Three years ago today.
You went to be with the Lord.
It was the saddest day of our lives
And yet, it was the happiest day as well
Because, as we watched you take your last breath
A ray of light came down from heaven
Shown on your face,
You opened your eyes
Gave us a beautiful smile
And with your last words, you said
"I love you."
This meant so much, Mom!
We miss you and wish you were here.
Whole like you used to be
And whole like you are now.
But we know you are in a better place.
No more pain, no more tears or misery
We can't wait to be with you.
Some day soon we will be there,
So save us a seat.
We love you Mom
