Robert and Shirley Ray

Robert and Shirley Ray of Portersville celebrated 50 years of marriage recently with a family dinner at the Garden Gate Restaurant in Prospect.

The former Shirley Davidson married Ray on Aug. 28, 1957, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Zelienople.

They have four children, Virginia Craig and Kathy Pifer, both of Butler; Donna Ray of Portersville; and Robert Ray of Export.

They also have seven grandchildren.Ray is retired from Sharon Tube and Steel.Mrs. Ray is the current mayor of Portersville. She belongs to Portersville Christian Missionary and Alliance Church and volunteers with the Portersville Food Pantry.
