Bertoncello

Adam Bertoncello graduated from Mercyhurst College recently, earning a degree in applied forensic science.While at the college, he was named to the dean's list, was inducted into the freshman honor society and worked as a resident adviser. He was also a member of student government, the chemistry club, forensic club and pep band.The son of Larry and Emogene Bertoncello of Butler, he is a 2003 graduate of Moniteau High School.Bertoncello plans to continue his education in chemistry at Mercyhurst.———

<B>Jason Hawk</B> graduated cum laude from Kent State University recently, earning a degree in advertising and marketing.While at the university, he received the University Award, Trustees Scholarship and President's Scholarship. He was inducted into the Alpha Lambda Delta National Honor Society, the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and the National Dean's List.He also served as the vice president of the Students of Scholars club, where he received two emerging leadership excellence awards. Amember of the school's homecoming court, Hawk also was a member of the Alpha Phi Omega fraternity and the university's Ambassadors Program.As an employee and vice president of Kent's Wellness and Recreation Center he earned an employee of the year award.A2003 graduate of Freeport High School, he is the son of Oliver and Nancy Hawk of Buffalo Township.Hawk has accepted a position as the assistant marketing director of public relations for Kent's Wellness and Recreation Center.———

<B>David Ireland Jr.</B> graduated from Slippery Rock University recently, earning a bachelor of science degree in psychology.The son of Dave Sr. and Ann Ireland of Butler Township, he is a 20001 graduate of Butler High School.———<B>Alex Buffone</B> graduated from the University of Pittsburgh recently, earning a bachelor's degree in applied developmental psychology and a certificate in children's literature.The daughter of Ronald and Terry Buffone of Mars, she is a 2003 graduate of Mars High School.Buffone is currently employed as a therapeutic support staff member at Nisar Health and Human Services.She plans to pursue a master's degree in applied developmental psychology.
