Robert R. Dreher, 87, of Kemper Road died at 12:45 a.m. Saturday at his home.

Born April 29, 1920, in Butler, he was the son of Ralph E. and Amelia Fend Dreher.

Mr. Dreher retired as a researcher at Allegheny Ludlum in the early 1980s.

He was a longtime member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, where he served on council as a deacon. Most recently, he attended the Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church.

He served in the Navy during World War II.

Mr. Dreher enjoyed camping, bowling, playing cards, traveling, gardening, baking and most importantly, his family and friends.

He is survived by a son and his wife, John and Sherry Dreher of Emlenton; three grandsons, Benjamin Dreher and his wife, Marni, and Jonathan Dreher, all of Columbus, Ohio, and Matthew Dreher of Emlenton; a great-granddaughter, Laken Dreher of Columbus; and a number of nieces and nephews.

His wife, Virginia R. Adler Dreher, whom he married Sept. 7, 1941, died Sept. 24, 1997. He also was preceded in death by a daughter, Judith, who died in April 2000; a brother, Walter "Jake" Dreher, who died in 1972; and a sister, Opal Light, who died in 1995.

<B>DREHER </B>— Friends of Robert R. Dreher, who died Saturday, July 21, 2007, will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the <B>Thompson-Miller Funeral Home</B>, 124 E. North St. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. James Higgins, pastor of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church of Chicora, officiating.
