The Pittsburgh RiverRats, a professional indoor football team, will hold tryouts noon to 4 p.m. Oct. 7 at Belle Vernon Area High School.

Players at the tryout will be tested in the 40-yard dash, 20-yard shuttle, broad jump and individual skill/agility sessions.

Cost is $50 if pre-registered and paid before the tryout and $65 he day of the camp.

Registration is at noon. Tryout begins at 1 p.m.

Tryouts are open to anyone 18 or older.

SLIPPERY ROCK — The Slippery Rock High School Quarterback Club and Marching Band are sponsoring the annual Lite-Up Night at the football field tonight.Activities begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by a scrimmage between Slippery Rock and Karns City at 7 p.m.Admission is $2 for adults. Students and children are admitted free.
