Neighborhood

momschool06@yahoo.com

Several years ago we were "ousted" from our neighborhood here in the wonderful city of Butler.

We were labled as the "bad" neighbors. I'm still not sure why. We had lived in our house for almost 6 years and all of a sudden, it was decided that we were no good. The good Christian family across the street no longer wanted anything to do with us. The new neighbors next door refused to aknowledge the fact that their kids were disrespectful, disorderly and rude. All of a sudden, families that we used to share our time with were showing up on our front sidewalk with pitchforks and torches.

There is a lot more to this story, but there is not enough room on this page.

The day the moving truck pulled up in front of our house, applause could be heard up and down the street. Well, we were appluading ourselves. No longer did we have to put up with the lies and the false accusations. It's sad when the local police recognize your address and cringe when they get a call there. Long story short. We no longer live in that neighborhood. In fact, we no longer live in that state.

Our lives have improved greatly. We have received more blessings that I can count on my 2 hands. As for the neighborhood? We sold our house, and I hear it's been renovated and put back on the market. The salesman tells me that it's not selling because of the neighborhood. He is frustrated and continues to drop the price in hopes that someone will buy. So, I ask you this - If we were the bad neighbors, and now we are gone, why do the police still frequent the place, and why is real estate not selling here? I'll tell you. People - you need to look in the mirror before you go pointing your finger and judging others. I pray for you daily and if you get a chance - read Romans 12:14-21, in fact keep reading, and God Bless you.
