I also lived for some time on Institute Hill many years ago. It was a wonderful place and people. What I have to say we must not place all the blame for the drugs and crime on the leaders of Butler. I place most of the blame on the do-gooders that took the Bible and paddle out of the schools. Also the judges that say you can't paddle a kid on the butt. I went to school for 12 years and in that 12 years I only remember one kid getting paddled, we knew enough to behave. We also knew if we got in trouble at school we were in for a lot more trouble when we got home. In my opinion until there is more discipline in the home and schools this country will be going down hill. I don't think our children, grandchildren and great grandchildren will ever see the peace and beauty of Institute Hill of years ago.
