Clair and Helen Taggart

Clair and Helen Taggart of Slippery Rock celebrated 60 years of marriage recently with a family dinner at a restaurant.

The former Helen Wolfe married Taggart Aug. 18, 1947, at St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Butler.

They have four children, Carol Taggart of Hanover; Kathleen Gildersleeve of Baden; Connie Schmitt of Ponta Vedra Beach, Fla.; and Dennis Taggart of Slippery Rock.

They also have five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Taggart is retired from road maintenance for Slippery Rock Township and from farming.

Mrs. Taggart is a homemaker.

They belong to West Liberty Presbyterian Church, the Slippery Rock Grange and the Pomona, State and National granges.
